Adi and Sam, the Trelli co-founders, were looking to work on a project, specifically an app, that many people could use and benefit from.

What seemed like a silly idea turned into the success either had had with a dating app. They had ended up getting more matches in a week than they had in years. They had more meaningful conversations that would translate to in-person dates.

Sam was discussing the amount of matches and conversations he was getting just from emphasizing going on a double date, when the lightbulb clicked for Sam and Adi.

Why struggle trying to continue this process on individual dating apps that are meant for solo use, when they could create a platform strictly for double dates.

With this new idea in mind, Adi and Sam began searching for the perfect platform to facilitate this.  However during this process, Sam’s friend found a girlfriend, leaving Sam back on the dating apps by himself.  At the same time, many of Sam’s other friends wanted to go on double dates with him, but it was hard to keep up with how many friends wanted to be included.

That is when Adi and Sam realized there is no dating app where you can truly be involved with your friends.  It was hard to tell who was who in pictures.

It was hard explaining the entire group dynamic. Sometimes going on a double date wasn’t possible.

The light bulb clicked again.

It was time to build something totally new.

‍

That is how Trelli was born.
